Castlecomer Golf Club is located 12 miles from Kilkenny City on the N78 and only an hour from County Dublin, it benefits from its setting by the River Deen. It was extended in 2003 into a full 18 hole course again with the help of Pat Ruddy after land was bought from Coillte with tees and greens made to USGA standard. "Seldom does one come across a site so admirably positioned and suited for golf" , is how Pat Ruddy describes Castlecomer. Green fees and outings welcome. Bar and catering facilities available all day. Open for membership at present with country membership available also.

An 18 hole par3 golf course just off the Kilkenny ring road at the Johnswell Road roundabout, take the exit out of town. This pay as you play course has hire and sales aswell as light refreshments and snacks. It is open to the public during daylight hours all year round.
