In 2025 we completed a €2.5million renovation of what is Kilkenny’s oldest hotel. From new insulation, wiring and plumbing, to new furniture, lighting and air conditioning, 25 of our 40 guestrooms have been completely transformed with a new design that celebrates our unique heritage. Reflecting our countryside roots, the upgraded guestrooms work with a fresh yet historically inspired palette of terracotta, duck egg, claret and green. Leaning into our Georgian heritage, each is arranged around feature headboards that create a moment of drama within the space. A contemporary take on a period style, our beautiful guestrooms in Kilkenny are now ready for your arrival.

Guests With Reduced Mobility
Unfortunately, due to the historic nature of this iconic hotel, we have a lot of stairs and no lifts. As such, the majority of our rooms are unsuitable for persons with impaired mobility. However, we have upgraded our three ground floor rooms – including our new ground floor apartment – so that we can better accommodate every member of your party.
